Cenote Azul
Cenote Azul is a multi tier open cenote 20 minutes south of Playa del Carmen. Shallow areas for kids, deeper pools with rope jumps, fish and natural rock platforms. Entry around $10, open 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. One of the most family friendly cenotes in the Riviera Maya.
Cenote Cristalino
Right next to Azul, Cristalino is a long clear water cenote with limestone overhangs and a small cave section. Great for relaxed snorkeling and a jump platform. Entry around $10. Often combined with Azul on the same visit since they share a parking area.
Jardin del Eden and Chikin Ha
Jardin del Eden (also called Ponderosa) is a large open cenote popular for snorkeling, with cliff jumps and abundant fish. Chikin Ha is a quieter forested cenote system with a cavern snorkel option. Both sit south of Playa near Puerto Aventuras, entry $13 to $18.
